Oak

Oak is strong and dependable, with a density around 700 kg/m³, a hardness of about 1,120 lbf, and a bending strength near 90 MPa. Its balanced properties provide stability under load while keeping it accessible in cost. The expressive grain and warm tones bring natural elegance that never goes out of style. In our racks, Oak delivers reliable performance and a timeless, inviting presence.

Ash

Ash is stronger and harder than Oak, with a density of approximately 650–700 kg/m³, a hardness around 1,320 lbf, and a bending strength near 100 MPa. Its straight, open grain and typically pale color provide a clean, contemporary look, though some pieces feature deeper, brown tones known as “Olived Ash.” The same resilience that makes it ideal for baseball bats also ensures stability under load. In our racks, Ash offers solid support for components along with a light, natural aesthetic that enhances any space.

American Walnut

American Walnut has a moderate density of about 630 kg/m³, a hardness of roughly 1,010 lbf, and a bending strength around 100 MPa. Its stability under load and minimal movement with humidity changes make it a trusted choice for long-lasting furniture. The fine, straight grain and rich chocolate color exude understated sophistication. In our racks, Walnut ensures precise support and refined elegance.

Wenge

Wenge is among the heaviest and hardest of our woods, with a density around 850 kg/m³, a hardness near 1,930 lbf, and a bending strength of about 130 MPa. Its dark, almost black tones and wild grain create a dramatic visual impact while providing exceptional stability. Though challenging to work, it rewards effort with furniture that is powerful and striking. In our racks, Wenge channels vibrations away from components, combining serious performance with commanding presence.

Bubinga

Bubinga is a dense African hardwood at roughly 890 kg/m³, with exceptional hardness around 2,400 lbf and a bending strength of 120–135 MPa. Its deep reddish-brown hues and bold, figured grain give it a luxurious and sophisticated character. The wood’s strength and rigidity allow it to conduct energy effectively in our racks. Bubinga delivers high-performance stability and a distinguished visual presence.

Purple Heart

Purpleheart leads our lineup in density and hardness, ranging from 800 to 1,057 kg/m³ with hardness exceeding 2,400 lbf, and a bending strength around 130–140 MPa. Its transformation from brown to rich purple provides a striking and unique visual element while offering exceptional stability. Though demanding to work, it rewards craftsmanship with a smooth surface and bold modern aesthetic. In our system, we use Purpleheart to channel vibrations efficiently and also to increase rigidity in certain applications.
