Description
Introducing the Reference Unibody audio rack, our flagship model designed for audiophiles who demand the absolute best in performance and craftsmanship. Named for its innovative design, the Unibody does its magic within the very structure of its shelves, achieving unparalleled control over vibrations and resonance.
Design & Materials
At the heart of the Reference Unibody is a revolutionary construction that combines form with function in perfect harmony. Each shelf is a masterful composition of two precision machined aluminum plates, precisely sandwiching a core of multi-density materials, all elegantly wrapped in a cnc machined solid wood frame. The top part of the sandwich is embedded with a veneered composite wood slate that matches the solid wood frame.

Internal Vibration Control
The Unibody HiFi Rack is engineered with a unique construction that blends a variety of materials, creating a massive structure that is exceptionally difficult to disturb. Just the sheer mass of the rack acts as a formidable barrier against vibrations, with each layer working in harmony to absorb and dissipate energy. By combining materials of different densities with consideration to the adhesive needed for each layer, we’ve crafted a rack that requires immense energy to excite. This unique layering ensures optimal rigidity and exceptional resonance control, creating an ideal environment for your audio components to perform at their best.

Finish & Aesthetics
The combination of beautifully crafted stainless steel, satin black paint and natural wood is offering a visually stunning addition to any listening space. The oil+hardener wood finish not only enhances the natural beauty of the wood but also adds durability, ensuring that your rack remains as beautiful as it is functional.

The rack is one of the prettiest objects I’ve seen. Once you hold a shelf you can immediately tell this is not a toy, unlike the mdf based rack it replaced. It is a serious piece of hi-fi furniture. The rack I ordered weighs around 140kg without equipment. Truly impressive. The sound improvement was immediately noticeable. Along side a deeper and more defined sound stage there was also more control in the bass region and less fatigue at high volume. If budget allows this is a must have rack.

I just finished setting up two Reference Unibody Audio Racks from WoodYard and I’m really impressed. During assembly, the first thing that stood out was the weight — each rack is built like a tank, and together they’re close to 200 kg. The shelves are incredibly solid and inert, and once everything is in place the racks feel completely dead to vibrations.
With my Wilson Benesch Resolution speakers and Burmester amp sitting on them, the system sounds more controlled and refined. Bass has more authority without getting loose, and there’s a touch more clarity in the details that makes long listening sessions more enjoyable.
They also look great in the room — more like fine furniture than audio furniture. Daniel from WoodYard was excellent to work with as well. He gave me clear advice on finishes and setup, and kept me updated with photos and progress during the build.
Overall, these racks are heavy, stable, and beautifully made. If you want something that improves performance while also looking like fine furniture, this rack is impossible to beat.
