Meet our Suspended Series. This is the double version which is available in a 2×2 or 3×2 configuration. A true anti vibration and resonance machine disguised as a warm piece of furniture.
This model has been through a couple prototypes and countless measurements to reach this iteration. It is a truly special rack. Obtaining the rigidity and anti resonance properties needed at this length, while keeping the interior open and pillar-less was quite the challenge.
Using A.I. generative design and modal analysis we managed to obtain a shape for the upper section that has a very low resonance point. Crafted out of multi layer pressed hardwood, dampened by two aluminum sheets and wrapped in a 50mm X 60mm thick solid wood frame. Testing has been done with a modal impact hammer and a 3 axis accelerometer system.
The upper section is connected to the main structural beams underneath using 10 ceramic bead coupling tensioners while maintaining minimal contact in the lateral legs using lateral stainless steel spikes. The whole upper section acts as one ultra rigid and inert unit channeling energy towers the lower section. The multi layer natural veneered shelves rest hidden on this structure using a ceramic bead decoupler.
The upper section was designed for ultimate resonance control. To serve very sensible equipment such as: turntables, tube gear, cd players/transports.
The bottom section consists in multiple density materials pressed together and framed by the thick solid wood frame. Still the shelves on the bottom shelf are independent and not connected to each other although non removable. The rack sits on ceramic bead couplers or 50mm diameter stainless spikes.
The model can be had in Oak , Ash, Wenge and Black Walnut solid wood. Pictured above is an ash version with black legs.
