Description
Meet our Suspended Series. This is a 2 x 3 shelf model. A true anti vibration and resonance machine disguised as a warm piece of furniture.
This model has been through a couple prototypes and countless measurements to reach this iteration. It is a truly special rack. Obtaining the rigidity and anti resonance properties needed at this length, while keeping the interior open and pillar-less was quite the challenge.
Using A.I. generative design and modal analysis we managed to obtain a shape for the upper section that has a very low resonance point. Crafted out of multi layer pressed hardwood, dampened by two aluminum sheets and wrapped in a 50mm X 61mm thick solid wood frame. Testing has been done with a modal impact hammer and a 3 axis accelerometer system.
The upper section is connected to the main structural beams underneath using 15 stainless steel/ceramic bead coupling elements while maintaining minimal contact in the lateral legs using lateral stainless steel spikes. The whole upper section acts as one ultra rigid and inert unit, channeling energy towards the lower section. The shelves, which are a cld sandwich of aluminum and composite wood, rest on ceramic ball decouplers inside the frame.
The upper section was designed for ultimate resonance control. To serve very sensible equipment such as: turntables, tube gear, cd players/transports.
The bottom section consists in multiple density materials pressed together and framed by the thick solid wood frame. The lower section is designed to absorb and dissipate the energy. The shelves on the bottom shelf are independent and not connected to each other although non removable. The rack sits on ceramic bead decouplers or 50mm diameter stainless spikes.
The model can be had in Oak , Ash, Wenge and Black Walnut solid wood. Pictured above is an oak version with white legs and an ash version with black legs.
Aluminum/ceramic elements are also available instead of stainless steel.

I’m absolutely thrilled! More thrilled than if I’d upgraded some random component. And the coolest thing was when my wife saw it. She said it’s beautiful, really beautiful! ‘It’s just what we needed!’ I was speechless…
First impressions are pretty impressive. With the gear cold, unpacked from the night before, I instantly felt a clearing of the soundstage, a remarkable clarity, and pinpoint positioning. The bass is tighter now—it doesn’t feel like it’s coming from under the couch anymore 🙂 Not that it was exactly like that before, but I was surprised to ‘see’ the sound of different drums popping up from distinct spots in the scene. The bass isn’t just centered anymore; if there are real drums, they stand out side by side with a precision I didn’t expect. The sound is different—I need to get used to it a bit because it’s much more precise, more open, and better positioned. Some micro-details have become more noticeable too, but I’ll need a little time and some warm-up for the equipment.
Honestly, I didn’t expect it to change the sound this much. Way more than swapping cables. The transformations are far more complex. Everything feels more refined, more mature, and extremely well-placed.
I want to wholeheartedly thank the folks at WoodYard for an amazing product!
